There are many layers of transparent paint, covering underlying drawings and pieces of collage in this bright, 12×12 mixed media painting. Looking closely, suddenly an arrow appears, and the faint outline of a sitting Buddha. Or is it all a mirage? Sometimes what we imagine we see is what a painting is all about.  

This framed 12×12 mixed media painting is painted with tawny sand colors and a turquoise blue that immediately reminded me of an oasis:  a place to quench the thirst during a barren place or time.
